Cataract Surgery

Cataract surgery is a common and safe procedure used to treat cataracts, a condition where the natural lens of the eye becomes cloudy, leading to blurred vision. During the surgery, the cloudy lens is removed and replaced with a clear artificial lens called an intraocular lens (IOL). The procedure is usually done under local anesthesia and takes about 15–30 minutes. Most patients experience significant improvement in vision shortly after surgery. Cataract surgery is one of the most effective and widely performed surgeries worldwide, with a high success rate and minimal recovery time.
